We still have 25 acres of trees, however, on our last flying visit there, after the rains, I found some small native flowers scattered throughout the property.

We are hoping that the soil will dry out enough to have a small area cleared before Christmas.  Our short term goal is to stay on the block over the New Year period, it may well be under a tree with the kangaroos and possums!

On our way home we stopped into a local winery and of course, tasted some of the local fare.  It was great to relax and look out over the vineyards on the nearby rolling hills and the local people are so friendly.  We very much look forward to when we won’t need to travel there and back in one day – where we can ‘linga longa in Yarrawonga’!img_9078

Welcome to the Writers’ Block

This is the first ever blog for our Writers’ Retreat located on the fringes of Mudgee’s wine district.

Currently it is just a 25 acres block of clay soil, heavily treed by pines and native gums, but over the next few months we will develop the block into a retreat for writers to retreat to where they can focus on writing and alleviate any blocks they maybe having.

In the meantime, enjoy the pictures of …. trees.
